  • Bauxite is an important ore used for making aluminum.
  • It is an oxide of aluminum.

  • The deposits occur as caps on hills and plateaus, except in coastal areas.


HOW IS OF ALUMINUM PRODUCED FROM BAUXITE?

  1. The plants for obtaining alumina from bauxite ore near bauxite mines.
  2. Plants for reduction of Alumina into Aluminum, near the cheap source of electricity.
