WHAT ARE FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES?
- All of them are the Fundamental Duties of Indian Citizens
- The Fundamental Duties are defined as the moral obligations of all citizens to help promote a spirit of patriotism and to uphold the unity of India

FACTS ABOUT FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES
- These was borrowed from USSR Constitution.
- They are not justiciable i.e. Unlike Fundamental Rights, you cannot go to court for the enforcement of Fundamental Duties.
- No legal sanction can be enforced by the government in case of their violation
- They apply only to citizens and do not extend to foreigners.
- They were added in the Constitution by 42nd Constitutional amendment, 1976.
IMPORTANCE OF FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES
- Serve as warning against anti-national and anti-social activities.
- Promote sense of discipline and commitment among the citizens.
- They lead the citizens on the right direction to bring excellence in all spheres
- They help courts in examining the constitutional validity of a law.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES:
