LOK SABHA
WHAT IS DIVISION OF POWER IN INDIAN CONSTITUTION?
- The Indian Constitution has provided for the democratic form of Government.
- There are three organs in the democratic government:
- The Legislature
- The Executive
- The Judiciary
- Under the Legislative Organ of Government, there is
- Parliament at Central Level
- State Legislature at State Level
- The Parliament consists of:
- President
- Lok Sabha
- Rajya Sabha
ORGANISATION OF LOK SABHA
- At present: 543 Members, Maximum: 552 Members
- The very 1st Lok Sabha elections were held in 1951-52 also according to the that time of population census.
- After completing the term, the PM & COM resigns & within 6 months of Lok Sabha dissolution, new general elections must be held.
GOVERNMENT FORMATION
- The political party must have 50% + 1 seats, to form the government.
- All the MPs select their leader & that particular person becomes the PM.
