Auroras

Aurora is the luminous glow in the upper atmosphere of the Earth. It is produced by charged particles (solar wind) descending from the planet’s magnetosphere.

WEATHERING

It is the breaking down or dissolving of rocks and minerals on Earth’s surface. Once a rock has been broken down, a process called erosion transports the bits of rock and minerals away.

MAGNETOSPHERE

It is a region of space surrounding an astronomical object in which charged particles are affected by that object's magnetic field.

GEOMAGNETIC REVERSAL

A reversal in Earth’s magnetic field is a change in a planet’s magnetic field such that the positions of magnetic north and south get interchanged.

HYDROLOGIC CYCLE

The hydrological cycle is also known as Water Cycle. It is the circulation of water in various forms - Liquid, Solid, and Gaseous.

ROTATION OF EARTH

Rotation can also be called as daily movement. Earth rotates from west to east along its tilted axis.

REVOLUTION

It is motion of the earth around the sun in its orbit.  It takes 365¼ days or one year to revolve around the sun.

RAINFALL

The precipitation in the form of water droplets is called rainfall.  In low latitudes, rain is the most common form of precipitation.
